With a width of 42 cm and a height of less than 9 cm, the Philips CD 350 is perfectly suitable for almost any audio rack. It's a great addition to the Philips HiFi rack system F 258.
The fact that this player fits so nicely in an audio rack is a great bonus. Even when standing alone, it delivers flawless sound. The laser pickup is astonishingly quick and precise in finding the desired track on the small Compact Disc. This is where you realize just how far ahead Philips is in terms of technology. And it's not just the technology that's impressive; the CD 350 is also very user-friendly. You can program up to 20 tracks in any order you like, and searching for a track or passage can be done at three different speeds, two of which come with accompanying sound.
Selecting any track, as well as skipping to the previous or next track, pausing, and repeating can be done easily through the buttons on the player or with the separately available EM 2000 remote control.
Miscommunication between you and the player is unlikely to happen, thanks to the clear FTD panel that keeps you updated on everything. And if you make a mistake, the player's self-thinking microcomputer won't execute the command, and instead, you'll see the word ERROR until you give the correct command.
The adjustable headphone connection is an added bonus on the front of the CD 350, allowing you to get lost in pure, uninterrupted sound.
The dimensions of the player are 86 × 420 x 300 mm, with a suggested retail price of 1250 guilders.
